ABOUT THE ALBUM
FONDO is the latest CD by Vieux Farka Touri, the fast rising Malian guitarist/singer/songwriter, and the son of the beloved legendary African guitar master Ali Farka Touri. With FONDO (the Road), Vieux steps confidently into the international spotlight fully in his own right, with an album that features everything from gorgeously haunting African blues to scorching, guitar based rockers and African reggae. By focusing on his formidable guitar skills, FONDO should not only win over world music fans everywhere but should cross over to new audiences hungry for the next great guitar hero.
