ÖLÜM is a Los Angeles-based Anatolian rock and roll group led by frontman Aykut Özen of Izmir. The group brings new life to the timeless genre of Turkish folk and presents a growing repertoire of original compositions. ÖLÜM is determined to bring back the 1966-1982 golden age of Anatolian psychedelic rock, pioneered by Erkin Koray and Baris Manço, complete with fuzz guitar, Hammond and Leslie pairings, analog synths, Farfisas, melodic riffs, and strong moustaches. OLTRANOVA MUSIC is a new companion label affiliated with Ancient Grease Records. We create releases for contemporary bands we love, plus a wide scope of archival gems from various genres.
