Sitting On Top Of The World

2008 compilation. Equally at home when playing for white audiences in square-dance bands, when the musicians in the Mississippi Sheiks played the Blues, they became one of the earliest cross-over acts and attracted a huge following in the South. Many of their recordings proved to be enduring classics, appealing to both black and white audiences. Their songs continue to be recorded by modern artists such as Bob Dylan and the Grateful Dead. Here are 20 of their finest numbers in all their foot-stomping glory. Complete Blues.
