ABOUT THE ALBUM
Delivering terse and rambunctious sub-three minute blasts of punk energy and musical creativity beyond their teenage years, Be Your Own Pet have arrived with their eponymous debut album. Heralded as the new Yeah Yeah Yeah's, this is a fuzzy, hook-laden Noise Pop record that will have you grinning from ear to ear with every listen, with vocals from indie pin up Jemina at times in flames, and at others achingly sweet. Album highlights include the screwball riffs of 'Wildcat!', the New Wave Rock of single 'Adventure', blink and you'll miss it perfection of 'Let's Get Sandy (Big Problem)' and the unashamed gallivant of 'Love Your Shotgun'. Be Your Own Pet is a street party of artful Punk and beauty and an incredibly strong debut album to herald a revolution. XL.
