ABOUT THE ALBUM
In an attempt to bone up his already miraculous guitar chops, The Reverend Horton Heat, aka Jim Heath, got together with Texas friends and musicians Tim Alexander and Todd Soesbe to form Reverend Organdrum. The idea for the project came to life through the Rev's love of vintage roots music and his growing obsession with Hammond B-3 organs. HI-FI STEREO covers the pantheon of hipness, dosing out greasy soul, funk, blues, lounge, rockabilly and just about everything else that sounds best dripping from a 45 RPM in the wee hours. Five-time Grammy winner Tim Alexander on B-3 organ and Todd Soesbe on drums round out the trio who put their own dirty spin on classics, TV/Movie themes and vintage soul-jazz nuggets. HI-FI STEREO swings with an in-the-pocket cool, showing US yet another side of the force of nature that is The Reverend Horton Heat.
