ABOUT THE ALBUM
Originally released in 1997 on Pleasure Records this is a collection of his earliest EPs and has been widely unavailable for some time. Re-issued for no reason other than the fact it's just ace and you're missing a piece of Scruff without it, there are many strips of excellence to be found within it. Whether in the gorgeously silky funk of 'Jazz Potato', the strangely intoxicating dub momentum of 'Sea Mammal', the swift sliding beats of 'Bounce' or the ridiculously groovy 'Chicken in a Box', Mrs Cruff is a delight and shows that's Scruff's talents were there from a very early stage. Ninja Tune. 2005.
