Bob Boilen, NPR (All Songs Considered's The 50Most Important Recordings Of The Decade)"Consistently, remarkably strong." Pitchfork (9.0, Best New Music)"a nearly perfect album" Billboard"Brilliantly OTT but cleverly understated, this is an album to dance aroundto and to cherish." The Guardian (*)Alec Ounsworth wrote some of the most uplifting, celebratory tracks of thismillennium, on an album of consistent excellence, and one rightly laudedfor re-writing the rules of what it means to be an independent artist. Aheady blend of left-field pop and melodic, exuberant indie rock, the recordrepurposed a number of classic new wave references for a new generationof music fans. The record's raw, ramshackle sound has been an integralpart of it's appeal; time has merely magnified that charm.
