I Wanna Go Home

Vinyl LP pressing. 2009 release. Shannon & the Clams create a ruckus similar to the sound of a prom band in 1964 getting dosed with acid and having the sweetest lovelorn freak out. Imagine a brawling Etta James, backed up by the 13th Floor Elevators singing Shangri La's tunes. It doesn't sound exactly like that, but imagine it. Shannon has a voice that can go from a sweet girl group croon to a bluesy ballsy growl before you realize you're headed for the floor. This is their debut full length following hot on the heels of the 'Hunk Hunt' single. Recorded by Matthew Melton of the Bare Wires/Snakeflower 2. for fans of Thee Oh Sees, Nobunny, King Khan and BBQ Show, Ginny Arnell.
