ABOUT THE ALBUM
Blossom Seeley was a legendary vaudeville star whose ragtime recordings were a major influence on early jazz. This new Jasmine release focuses on her three comeback albums in the '50s, when Betty Hutton portrayed her in the film "Somebody Loves Me. " All three are included here, plus rare TV performances and some bonus tracks featuring her early film soundtracks. Jam-packed with nearly 90 minutes of music digitally-restored in pristine sound, including such hits as "Toddling the Todalo", "Rose Room" and "Way Down Yonder in New Orleans".
