ABOUT THE ALBUM

2009 two CD collection. Arguably the most influential Rock 'n' Roller of all time, Buddy Holly was Rock's first casualty, dying in a plane crash in January 1959 when he was just 22 years of age, still very much at the peak of his popularity and creativity. These 66 historic sides are among the most important and influential in the history of Rock 'n' Roll, tracing Buddy's progress from his earliest Rockabilly styled demos, in June 1955, to a memorable session in New York, in June 1958. Included are the classic hits 'That'll Be the Day', 'Words of Love', 'Not Fade Away'. 'Oh Boy', 'Peggy Sue', 'Maybe Baby', 'Rave On', 'Think It Over', 'It's So Easy' and many more. Jasmine.
