ABOUT THE ALBUM
THE END OF AN AMERICAN DREAM is the new album from legendary artist Lee "Scratch" Perry. Considered to be one of the most important figures in the history of reggae music, Lee Perry helped shape the early reggae sound in a number of recordings, but as an engineer, producer and songwriter he pioneered a number of innovations, including dub reggae and the "scratch" turntable effect used by DJ's today. ON END OF AN AMERICAN DREAM, Perry brings forward a timely narrative that draws from his spirituality and today's global events, setting a counterpoint to a post-modern dub rhythm.
