ABOUT THE ALBUM
Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. Recorded in 1963, Una Mas was the first album to feature the dynamic frontline of trumpeter Kenny Dorham and tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson, a potent team that would go on to collaborate on numerous classic albums under each musician's name including Henderson's debut album Page One which was recorded just 2 months later. Along with a tremendous rhythm section of Herbie Hancock, Butch Warren, and Tony Williams, the quintet delivers joyous performances of three Dorham originals.
