One of the most honored and revered bluesmen of all time, John Lee accumulated Grammies, Handys, Lifetime Achievement Awards and Hall of Famekudos throughout much of his remarkable half century of recording. Fortunately for Universal, the King of the Boogie recorded for three of our catalog labels - Impulse!, ABC and twice for Chess - and created some of his most lasting recordings during these stays, songs that have covered over and again ever since, including "Sugar Mama," "Serves You Right to Suffer" and "One Bourbon, One Scotch And One Beer," all of which are included this ICON CD.
