New Heaven

The Sixteen and their conductor/ founder Harry Christopher's celebrate 30 years together with this all-new release of heart-warming traditional English choral music. The composers featured on this album represent the continuity and evolution of British church music from Victorian times to the second Elizabethan age. These composers were less concerned with twentieth-century musical trends and more focused on writing heavenly music that would help lift spirits as the congregation sang. The care taken with balance, tone and enunciation has ensured that the Sixteen remains one of the worlds premiere vocal ensembles. Their unique sound has rarely been equaled by other groups, thus making each new release a valuable document of their extraordinary talents.
