ABOUT THE ALBUM
Vibes virtuoso Gary Burton (he of the four-mallet technique) hooked up with trailblazing keyboardist Chick Corea in the early '70s-and continued to make music with him for 35 years. This 4-CD set takes you back to the formative days of their abundantly fruitful partnership as you hear their complete Crystal Silence and Duet albums plus live-in-Zurich tracks: I'm Your Pal; Desert Air; Falling Grace; Children's Song; Radio; La Fiesta; Bud Powell; Crystal Silence; Tweak; Song to Gayle, and more. Their improvisations are brilliant and the textures they create are just mesmerizing.
