Essential Squeeze

2007 single disc collection of the UK Pop band's finest moments, coinciding with the reissue of their digitally remastered back catalog and their UK and U.S. reunion tour. Essential Squeeze showcases the very best of the their contribution to the fine art of the Pop single. Squeeze provided amiably clever popular music which struck the hearts tickled the ribs, moistened the eyes and tapped the feet. Difford & Till brook were indecently good at narrating a good domestic yarn over a suitably pithy couplet. Producing a steady stream of enduring pop classics over three decades including the hits, 'Cools for Cats', 'Hourglass', 'Black Coffee in Bed', 'Pulling Mussells (From the Shell)' and 'Up the Junction'. Squeeze are as relevant today as they have ever been, if not more so. The likes of the View, Lilly Allen, Razorlight and Kasabian all citing them as a major influence. 20 tracks including two previously unreleased nuggets: 'Library Girl' and 'Last Call for Love'. Universal. 2007.
