ABOUT THE ALBUM
Originally released in 1982, the self titled album "The Lords of the New Church" delivers a striking blend of punk energy, rock and roll attitude, and new wave edge. Formed by members of The Damned and Dead Boys, the band developed a sound that is both raw and focused, built on strong riffs and memorable hooks. Tracks like "Open Your Eyes" and "Russian Roulette" highlight their ability to combine urgency with melody. The album remains a defining release of the early 80s, merging styles while maintaining a clear and confident identity.
