ABOUT THE ALBUM
Captured on a truly magical night, under the stars in Mexico City's legendary Plaza de Toros, Alejandro Fern?ndez paid a heartfelt tribute to his father, Don Vicente Fern?ndez on DE REY A REY. Alejandro delivers new versions of 26 classic tunes. Full of passion and imagination, Alejandro worked closely on DE REY A REY with producer Eden Mu?oz to put their own stamp on these timeless tracks by incorporating rhythmic and instrumental elements from banda and sierre?o, while respecting the legacy of Mariachi music. Alejandro Fern?ndez adds a powerful dose of emotion to each these songs, demonstrating that the family legacy continues to shine and illuminate the path of Mexican music, making this album a moving gesture to remember those who are no longer with us, but who left us their love through music. 2 LP set, standard black vinyl.
