Winter Of Mixed Drinks

Produced by PETER KATIS (THE NATIONAL, INTERPOL, SPOON), the new album follows the slow-burn classic, 'The Midnight Organ Fight', which emerged as a critical favorite in 2008 & made numerous "best of" lists incl. PITCHFORK, NME, MAGNET, DROWNED IN SOUND & Australia's own MUSIC NETWORK to name a few! The band's also been publicly lauded by fellow musicians, incl. Craig Finn (THE HOLD STEADY), Nick Harmer (DEATH CAB FOR CUTIE) & Simon Neil (BIFFY CLYRO). a visceral & heartbreaking pop oeuvre, 'The Winter of Mixed Drinks' showcases a more fully realized Frightened Rabbit sound than ever before, & boasts stunning string arrangements. The album's led by the warm, rippling lead single, "Swim Until You Can't See Land", which was recently hailed as one of NME's Top 50 Single of 2009, despite the track leaking only weeks before their end of year polls. Combining the introspective lyricism & lush arrangements of THE NATIONAL, with the cathartic, emotive drive of MUMFORD & SONS, Frightened Rabbit are one of the most exciting rising talents of 2010.
