Kingsnake at Your Door

2012 collection from the Blues legend. In the chronicle of the Blues, few individuals have been more distinctive than John Lee Hooker. Where other vocalists bothered to rhyme, he sang in prose; where other guitarists might grope through chord sequences, he would strum through entire songs visiting but one or two chords. His music possesses a hypnotic effect, his drone-like chanting over the persistently repetitive beat of his guitar and foot, envelops listeners into a giant heartbeat.
