ABOUT THE ALBUM
After recording for Prestige, Atlantic, Verve and United Artists since forming in the early '50s, the MJQ became one of Apple's proudest signings. The group (Percy Heath, Milt Jackson, John Lewis and Connie Kay) enjoyed 100% artistic freedom on these 1968 and 1969 LPs; their chemistry amazes as you hear the Blue Necklace; the Jasmin Tree; Dilemma; Here's That Rainy Day, and more. Includes the perfect bonus track: their unreleased interpretation of Yesterday !
