ABOUT THE ALBUM
Live At Ronnie Scott's (CD) Yusef Lateef Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders are two of many who were inspired by this multi-instrumentalist and his pioneering mix of jazz and Eastern music. Ronnie Scott had Les Tomkins record this set without the band knowing, so as to capture an unselfconscious performance. Lateef's quartet dazzles on "Angel Eyes," "Blues for the Orient," "Song of Delilah," "Last Night Blues" and "Yusef's Mood." CD debut! Gearbox. Bass - Rick Laird Drums - Bill Eyden Flute, Shenai, Woodwind [Xun], Tenor Saxophone - Yusef Lateef Piano - Stan Tracey
