ABOUT THE ALBUM
Two albums from vocalist Connie Francis on one CD, 'Sings Folk Song Favorites' and 'Sing Along with Connie', with additional bonus tracks! Apart from having her own distinctive style and sound, Connie Francis' meteoric rise was also mainly due to her universal appeal regardless of race and age. At her peak she made various recordings for different markets - Jewish, Irish, German, Italian, children's, rock 'n roll, Country and Western, which all sold extremely well, and folk, which brings us to this CD combining 2 LPs and some extra tracks. "Folk Favorites" include American traditional songs such as "Oh Suzanna", "Red River Valley" and "Beautiful Brown Eyes". From her "Sing Along With" LP are songs such as "Home On The Range", "Down In The Valley" and "Auld Lang Syne" performed in the inimitable Connie Francis way.
