Wilde About Marty

Digitally remastered edition of the 1959 debut album from the British Rock 'n' Roll star. Reg Smith adopted the name Reg Patterson for his first attempt at success and landed a regular slot at the Condor Club in London. There in 1957 he was spotted by Larry Parnes, who suggested a further name change to Marty Wilde and signed to Philips. Over the next two years he established himself as one of the UK's leading Rock 'n' Roll singers, thanks to hits with cover versions of American hits. Bizarrely, despite countless hits on the singles chart, none of his albums managed to register until a retrospective in 2007! Hallmark. 2010.
