Friendly Bacteria

Ninja Tune legend Mr. Scruff (aka Andy Carthy) returns with 'Friendly Bacteria', the most complete, sustained exploration of where his music is at right now. In Carthy's own pithy words it's "tougher, sparser, less samples, more bass. More vocals and collaborations and shorter tunes." · to celebrate the release, Mr. Scruff and friends will play a special album launch party at the Roundhouse, London in May, featuring a headline performance from himself as well as Portico Quartet, Matthew Halsall Trio and Denis Jones, plus special guests to be announced. · Carthy puts down a lot of his music's development to his spending more time working and jamming with other musicians including Denis Jones, the one and only Robert Owens and the bass sensation Phil France who, while local to Scruff, is best known internationally for his work with the Cinematic Orchestra. · Available as a six panel digipack CD.
