ABOUT THE ALBUM
Andre Kostelanetz's guest singer on these wartime broadcasts is the American tenor and actor Kenneth (Kenny) Lawrence Baker who was born in Monrovia, California, on September 30, 1912. His original ambition was to be a violinist but that ambition changed when he won a talent competition at the Coconut Grove in Los Angeles. Most of the tracks on this CD feature Kenny singing with the Kostelanetz Orchestra however, there are four bonus tracks where he is featured with Harry Sosnik's Orchestra. Between 1938 and 1947 Kenny had nine entries in the charts including two featured on this CD Love Walked in and Always in My Heart which was featured in the movie of the same name.
