ABOUT THE ALBUM
The latest edition of this popular series featuring the Benny Goodman Orchestra which documents the complete series of radio programs broadcast during the latter part of the 1940s. This CD volume eighteen includes a guest Craig Rice real name Georgiana Ann Randolph Craig prolific crime writer. Her most famous creation was the detective John J. Malone. Many of Craig's books were turned into movies and she was also a ghost writer for Gypsy Rose Lee and film actor George Sanders who coincidentally played the Falcon who was another of Craig's creations. She is known for her wacky style of writing. Sadly today most of her books are out of print. Show forty three unusually has no guest artist (Show forty two did not feature Benny Goodman). As usual the shows are compared by popular comedian Victor Borge.
