Rosengarten: Manheim, Germany 23Rd April 1956

(2-CD set) Unlike in Britain, where the still-stuffy BBC saw no importance in Kenton's visit, radio stations throughout Europe were quick to take advantage of the band's availability, and recorded concerts for broadcasting, bequeathing US a bountiful legacy of beautiful music. Too long to fit onto a single disc, and not wanting to omit even a single title. This previously unreleased concert from Mannheim's Rosengarten as a double CD set, but generously priced at the same cost as a single. First set: Introduction; Artistry in Rhythm; Stomping at the Savoy; Collaboration; Love for Sale; Out of Nowhere; Royal Blue; Solitaire; 23I North, 82I West; Concerto to End All Concertos. Second set: Second Set: Yesterdays; Intermission Riff; Polka Dots And Moonbeams; the Peanut Vendor; Stella By Starlight; Swing House; Carl; Cherokee; Young Blood; Closer: Artistry in Rhythm.
