Goodbye, Glenn Miller Strings

27 tracks taken from the last concerts given by Tex Beneke's boffo ten-piece string section combined with the Glenn Miller Orchestra! Billed as "The Largest Dance Band in America," this short-lived outfit achieved fame on the 1948 "Strings with Wings" broadcasts, and had a sound every bit as big as their head count. Includes Blue Champagne; the Man I Love; Little Jack Frost; September in the Rain; Laura; Ali Baba; These Foolish Things; Moonlight Serenade, and more, with vocals by Bob Mitchell, Claire Chatwin, Mary Mayo and Tex himself!
