Had child prodigy Elliot Lawrence (he was leading a band at the age of twelve) been born ten years earlier he would undoubtedly been a major player on the big band scene. However that did not stop him from pursuing an incredible musical career which has lasted up to the present day. He has led orchestras in Russia, orchestrated motion pictures and featured in numerous television programs. Here is a rare opportunity to hear the talented Elliot Lawrence performing Big Band jazz compositions recorded in 1946/1947.
