ABOUT THE ALBUM

Les Brown And His Band Of Renown This CD features two 'live' One Night Stand radio broadcasts from the end of World War II in 1945, from The Cafe Rouge, Hotel Pennsylvania, New York City, on the 15th of January, and from the Hollywood Palladium on the 24th of July. Beside featuring Les Brown's usual singing star Butch Stone, the CD is notable for the inclusion of Doris Day performing most of the vocals. A stepping stone that would lead her to feature in many popular Hollywood movies and to world wide fame as a singing star in her own right.
