Genius of George Gershwin

(2-CD set) It is indisputable that George Gershwin was a musical genius, both he and his brother Ira joined forces to create a catalogue of the 20th centuries major standards. On this two for the price of one CD package we feature the master himself playing piano on a number of his hits including probably his finest work Rhapsody In Blue. The second CD features bands and singers contemporary to the Gershwin's performing their music in a fashion that would have been familiar to them. These are newly re-mastered recordings using the latest state of the art technology.
