ABOUT THE ALBUM
Fred Astaire might well have directed his talents towards popular song-writing, and given the Walter Donaldsons, Fred Ahlerts andArthur Schwartzes quite a lot to think about. Fred Astaire was not only a more than capable singer, dancer and composer; he could and sometimes did play accordion and piano quite presentably. He was not a rival to Bing Crosby, for example, but his methods had no suggestion of falsehood or gimmickry; his voice was just one of his many talents that fortunately he chose to use for our lasting pleasure.
