ABOUT THE ALBUM
Ray Dorset led Mungo Jerry to the folk/jug-band side of the blues in the early '70s while their UK blues-rock brethren were turning their amps up to 11. Though only "In the Summertime" is known to most Americans, their original Dawn releases overflow with rambunctious delights (and UK hits), and you'll discover hours of 'em as you make your way through all their Dawn A- and B-sides plus EP tracks: their aforementioned signature smash, their UK hits "Baby Jump," "Lady Rose," "You Don't Have to Be in the Army to Fight in the War," "Long Legged Woman Dressed in Black," "Alright Alright Alright," their European hit "Open Up"43 remastered tracks and extensive new notes! Beat Goes On.
