Environments 3 (Uk)

""Environments 3"" is one of 'the great lost albums' by The Future Sound of London and these sessions have taken on almost mythical status with the group's fan base. It was initially due for release after the 1993 release of the UK Top 10 album hit ""Lifeforms"", but that didn't happen. Instead, much later in 2010, it came on CD and download. Only now is it being released on vinyl for the first time. This release also comes after the success of the first two installments which have sold steadily across the different volumes over the years and still climbing. This third volume is a sparse, highly minimal, and vivid departure from their dense 1990s period, and cited as one of the standout ambient releases of it's time with FSOL in fine creative form. Reviewers at the time noted he complete absence of the heavy, spacey atmospheres of Lifeforms or the dark chaos of Dead Cities with delicate textures and moody variety throughout. While mostly calm and meditative, certain cuts evoke a desolate, lonely, or gently industrial feel.
