"Their first three studio albums had the same R&B/primal rock/blues character as the original Stones" - Trouser Press. After four albums, guitarist and songwriter Wilko Johnson left over musical differences, and continued with his own band and his remarkable choppy rhythm/lead blues style. Albums like ICE ON THE MOTORWAY, SOLID SENDERS and BARBED WIRE BLUES, plus regular worldwide touring with his excellent rhythm section of Blockheads Norman Watt-Roy and Monti, have kept Wilko's reputation as one of the hottest and renowned r&b guitarists intact.
