ABOUT THE ALBUM
Japanese pressing. I Wanna Be Santa Claus is the twelfth studio album by Ringo Starr, released on October 19, 1999, through Mercury Records. This Christmas-themed rock album features a mix of traditional holiday classics and original songs written by Starr and producer Mark Hudson, including the promotional single "Come On Christmas, Christmas Come On." Recorded between September 1998 and September 1999 at studios in the United States and United Kingdom, the album includes contributions from notable guest musicians such as Joe Perry, Timothy B. Schmit, and Jeff Lynne, and remains the only full Christmas album released by a member of The Beatles. Running 44 minutes and 59 seconds, I Wanna Be Santa Claus delivers a festive blend of holiday spirit, classic rock energy, and seasonal favorites.
