Live At The Isle Of Wight Festival 2004 (Hybr)

Recorded live on June 12, 2004, Live at the Isle of Wight Festival 2004 captures The Who's triumphant return to the festival stage where they made history 34 years earlier. This momentous performance marked the band's first concert in their home country since the passing of founding member and bassist John Entwistle. Performing before a massive audience, surviving founding members Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend deliver a high-octane set that reaffirms their position as one of rock's most enduring live forces. The setlist is a relentless parade of generation-defining anthems, featuring definitive versions of "Baba O'Riley, " "Won't Get Fooled Again, " "Substitute, " and "Pinball Wizard." Backed by a powerhouse band including Zak Starkey and Pino Palladino-who stepped in to fill the formidable void left by Entwistle-the performance balances raw, explosive energy with the sophisticated musicality that has characterized the group's four-decade career.Released by Evolution Music Group as part of the Front Row Center collection, this Double SACD Hybrid Multi-channel set preserves the performance with pristine fidelity. The high-resolution format captures the intricate detail and massive scale of the band's live sound with breathtaking clarity, while the 5.1 multi-channel surround mix recreates the vast, immersive atmosphere of the festival grounds. This is the most transparent and detailed presentation of a definitive moment in the band's history.Note: These Hybrid SACD discs are compatible with all standard CD and SACD players.
