A trippy summer tune from mess/age, who continue to release on the renowned U.S. label PPU, gets a 7" release!!Taken from last year's mini-album RYOKAN, the dreamy, heat-melted, trippy summer tune 'Umi' and it's dub version 'Dubmi' are being released as a 7" single!Formed in Kyoto, mess/age is the duo of Khan Brown and OHHKI, whose full-length release on the renowned U.S. label PPU is still fresh in memory. Using old Casiotones and karaoke machines, the pair create a lo-fi home-recording sound that seems to draw out lyricism sunk deep within memory. From their cassette mini-album RYOKAN, released last year, 'Umi' and 'Dubmi' have now been selected for a 7" release. Like a midsummer daydream brought on by sweltering heat, this is a fantastical, haze-wrapped trippy summer tune steeped in a dreamlike mood.
