Still Life

Released in 2020, 'still life' marks Haruka Nakamura's first solo piano album and has since become one of his signature works. A collection of gentle, tranquil melodies played on a muted piano, this album was conceived as a 'still life' painting for everyday living-music to be quietly present beside us. Since it's release, 'still life' has continued to resonate deeply with listeners, becoming a long-selling favorite. The warm, soft texture of vinyl suits the music perfectly, and many fans have eagerly awaited this repress. Music that lovingly gazes upon daily life. Music that supports each listener's modest everyday moments. This is muted piano music composed to simply 'be there,' capturing the light of lost days. A long-term home recording project, created to trace the light itself. A simple and unadorned piano album, woven with care. The story begins in the attic of his mother's childhood piano lesson studio, where he discovered a still life painting by his late grandfather-used for the album cover. The companion album 'still life II' explores a deeper sonic world, making for a beautiful listening experience when paired with 'still life'. * Pressed on pure color (transparent primary) vinyl* Includes full-album & bonus track downloadLISTEN: https://open.
