Amigos - Japanese Sacd Deluxe Edition

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Santana's 7th album (1976), in which Santana - who had been leaning toward spiritual and phantasmic jazz fusion - made a long-awaited return to Latin rock, the world's first SA-CD multi-channel hybrid edition has finally arrived! While the approach to funk music through Santana's characteristically primitive and dynamically charged band ensemble is also outstanding, the undisputed highlight of this work is the landmark sensual guitar instrumental "Europa (Earth's Cry Heaven's Smile)," and it was this hit that established Santana's signature melancholic instrumental style. Furthermore, this album features artwork by Tadanori Yokoo for the second time, following "Lotus." The original quadraphonic master (4-channel mix) - never released in Japan at the time - has been converted to DSD, allowing you to enjoy a surround mix on a completely different level of immersion from the standard stereo disc, in high-fidelity audio. The CD layer also uses the latest remaster based on the SA-CD stereo hi-res master. The packaging is a 7-inch cardboard sleeve precision-resized from the US quadraphonic LP, with reproductions of overseas promotional posters from the era and more. A permanent collectors' item that Santana fans worldwide will covet! - SA-CD Multi-ch Hybrid disc (2-layer disc with SA-CD and CD layers) - Japan-release single jackets (3 pieces), overseas promotional posters (2 pieces) enclosed - Japan-exclusive product
