ABOUT THE ALBUM
The Pearlfishers proudly announce the release of the 7" single, the Umbrellas of Shibuya, taken from their album, Up with the Larks. This 7" is strictly limited and available on white vinyl. "The Umbrellas of Shibuya" takes it's reference point from Michel Legrand's classic movie opera, the Umbrellas of Cherbourg, but locates itself in a Tokyo rainstorm - with neon puddles, painted in Morricone banjos, Sakamoto synth blooms, Nilsson mouth music and David Scott's unique sense of melody and structure. The B-side features the exclusive new track, "Clumsy."
