ABOUT THE ALBUM
With her 2016 album Closer To The People, Tanita Tikaram - the voice that defined a generation - stands apart once again with a maverick record that takes influence from her live band who played with Van Morrison and Nick Lowe, a lifetime of records, as well as contemporary recording ideas that give the music a dynamic sound of their own. Closer To The People features 10 beautiful songs ranging somewhere between soul, folk, pop and jazz.
