ABOUT THE ALBUM
Harder than hard-core honky tonk music. Years before his hit, Blackland Farmer, Frankie Miller was cutting unapologetically country music down in Texas. Those early recordings for Gilt Edge and Columbia are reissued complete here. Thirty tracks of classic Texas beerjoint music cut between 1951 and 1956, including Barefoot Blues, I'm Gettin'Rid Of You, Hey, Where Ya Goin', Paint Powder And Perfume and It's No Big Thing To Me. This is yet another of great undiscovered jewels in the Bear Family catalogue. The rawness and blistering passion in Frankie's singing elevate him among the giants.
