Grace Note

Bakermat's upcoming album, Grace Note, is a heartfelt tribute to the powerful connection between House music and Gospel. Celebrating the joy and spiritual essence of these genres, the album invites listeners torediscover the magic of the dancefloor, where Bakermat's music has fostered moments of joy and connection for over a decade. For many, House music is their religion, and to celebrate this, Bakermat envisions the club as a church and the DJ as a preacher. As the godfather of House Frankie Knuckles once said, clubs are like church, and this collection of songs is designed to inspire and evoke the same emotions experienced during afantastic night at a club, festival, or church. Grace Note promises to be an inspirational anthem and an almost spiritual experience, filled with strings, organs, choirs, speeches, and Bakermat's beloved brass. With a rich diversity of moods and tempos, the album features collaborations with artists like Lady Blackbird, Roland Clark, AMANZI, Ann Nesby, and Ron Carroll, ensuring a truly uplifting musical journey.
