ABOUT THE ALBUM
Limited colored vinyl LP pressing. American Soul is Aaron Watson's thirteenth studio album, and seventeenth album overall, since his debut in 2000. His last four studio efforts have all debuted in the Top 10 on the Billboard country album chart with the last three hitting the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 2 positions respectively. To say that he is prolific as a writer and an artist is an understatement. Recorded just days before the COVID 19 shutdown, the 10 tracks on American Soul take the listener on a journey of love, heartbreak, nostalgia and pride. It's sure to further galvanize his brand as "Texas country's reigning indie underdog" (Rolling Stone). "There may be no more genuine singer-songwriter at the moment than Watson," adds Texas Monthly.
