ABOUT THE ALBUM
Following up their acclaimed CDs Warriors and Cast the First Stone, this pyrotechnic supergroup explores a potent collection of expansive post-bop originals on their fifth-anniversary disc Believe! Features Eddie Henderson & Billy Hart (original members of Herbie Hancock's groundbreaking Mwandishi band); Cecil McBee (from the landmark Charles Lloyd Quartet with Keith Jarrett and Jack DeJohnette); Billy Harper (working band member of jazz giants Lee Morgan, Max Roach, and Art Blakey); George Cables (an integral participant for superstars Dexter Gordon, Art Pepper, Freddie Hubbard, Joe Henderson, and Sonny Rollins); and David Weiss & Craig Handy some of the heaviest players of their generation.
