ABOUT THE ALBUM
AMONG FRIENDS showcases the co-creative chemistry and musical telepathy that is the hallmark of a career that encompasses meditative and healing New Age, world fusion and jazz. Steven Halpern is a Grammy award nominated recording artist, and visionary composer / producer. AMONG FRIENDS presents a compelling portrait of his collaborations with a stellar array of leading New Age and jazz musicians featuring: Paul Horn, Paul McCandless, David Darling, Michael Manring, Jorge Alfano, Georgia Kelly, David Friesen, Schawkie Roth, Dallas Smith, Susan Mazer, Marc van Wageningen and Mark bell. This 40 year retrospective (1975-2015) includes tracks never before available and is sure to spark a new appreciation of the artist who launched "The Quiet Revolution" in New Age music.
