Joe revisits his past on this set of exceptional tunes from his days with the Crusaders and his early solo years, remade with an all-star cast of musicians and singers including Marcus Miller, Steve Gadd, Everette Harp, Hubert Laws, Lenny Castro, Dianne Reeves and others. Demonstrating just how influential Sample's sound has been, the album (produced by George Duke) features dynamic new versions of some of his best known compositions ("Street Life," "Put It Where You Want It"), along with some of his most-sampled grooves.
