Sym 5 Op 67 in C minor / Sym 7 Op 92 in a Major

On the heels of the smashing success of the recent released Mahler's Symphony No. 9 with Zander and the Philharmonia Orchestra, Telarc presents the first recording in a sure-to-be controversial new cycle of the completer Beethoven symphonies. Includes a limited edition, bonus discussion disc by the conductor. Zander was the pioneer in performing Beethoven's symphonies with the composer's original metronome markings. This dramatic recording with the Philharmonia makes a compelling case for his performance philosophy.
